puzzle
in a sea of a thousand,
you don’t realise how a single piece could make all the difference
to make a picture perfect
one for the missing gap
what could seem of the same shapes
has equal chance to fit, with the correct amount of luck and probability
even if certain pieces fit just right,
it doesn’t mean that it will paint the same end picture in mind
some are a temporary fix that you’re too blind to see
until you take a step back to see the whole picture
that you see how awful it stands out, like a sore thumb
only then you are willing to move it back to the stack
i suppose the same logic applies to humans
since we’ve been told to find missing piece in others
(never ourselves)
on a quest to find someone who would make us “complete”
(never ourselves)
the perfect fit and complement to fill what we lack
– i know we aren’t perfect but aren’t we a picture in its whole, to begin with? did we lose pieces of us in people we’ve met?
