Sudden feeling of writing a poem about what life is about.

Is it the memories or the pain that have made you who you are today at this moment?

So here goes, my first poem 

(and yes I noticed that some of the doesn't rhyme but oh well doesn't matter)


L I F E

Life is a journey
Filled with memories all the way
Treasured and cherished in our hearts 
Forever and ever till death do us part.

Life is not easy
It's filled with hardships
Tears will sometime filled our eyes
And at times we cry at night

It is not as dark as it seems
When we are not alone in this
Family and friends who has been with us
Have brought light upon this world

With the tiniest spark of light
Find your way back into the night
Fly or walk with all your might 
And embrace it with all you've got.

There's no time to waste 
Nor to look back at all the mistakes you've made
The scars, the pain will soon be washed away
So move on cos life awaits

No Expectations, No Disappointments

This phrase is definitely one of my favourites, one I hold dear, the one that is always a self reminder. I know, realistically both expectations and disappointments are inevitable but I like to think that it is our decision when it comes how we choose to handle it. For most of my life, I’ve always been living up to other peoples’ expectations - how to be a better student, a better child, a better sibling even a better lover - a constant battle of who and who is always better than me. I guess you don’t realize such things when you’re too busy striving and working hard to please everyone around you. Maybe your thoughts are like mine - if they are happy, then I am too. Funny how I never once ask myself - why don’t you do things for yourself? To be a better version of yourself, for your own sake? (Oh well, we were all foolish once.) What if ?

There is no 'what if' now isn't it ? I am too late . I did not even get the chance ... When I saw that picture, I find myself staring at it and tears fell from my face. I can't help but to feel useless in times like this.  I kept asking myself this ... What can I do even if I was there ? Nothing was exactly my answer. I'm sorry. I really am. For everything.. I promise I'll be okay and that I will give my best for the upcoming exam. Just to make you proud.   I promise.   I hope you are truly happy now despite wherever you are.  Just know that you'll always, always be in our hearts and will not be forgotten.  Grandpa, please take care of my grandmother for me.  I really miss you too grandpa.  I could really use a hug right now.
