Poem #1 : The Day I Lost You

Bet you didn't expect me to have written another post so fast isn't it? 

Just wanted to share a short poem (my first attempt) that I wrote based on the feelings when I lost something that was really really precious to me. Hence, the sad title. Up until now, I still can't get over it and I ended up pouring all my feelings into writing this. Not sure if you would call this as being inspired.                                                                                               Written on 2nd November 2016. 

I hope it's a decent work that you fellow readers will enjoy reading though it can be rather sad. 

I present to you ; 

The day I lost you

I didn't fall for you at first sight.
Rather, you weren't my knight.
Nothing felt right.
Yet we started to fight. 

Through it all, you stayed by my side.
You got me swayed, alright.
Slowly, I start to see the light. 

There's something about you that made me smile.
Forget things for a while. 
Though work may pile, 
For you, I'd go an extra mile.

To my surprise, I realize.
That you were there for all my cries.
Compared to the other guys, 
You see through my disguise. 

One day, you left.
Took a part of me, such a theft.
Days and night I wept.
Wishing you'd regret.

Now that you're gone,
It's time to move on. 
Woke up to another dawn,
Still longing for you, I'm a moron.

I stumbled upon a crossroad.

This time all alone. 

It feels like my heart would explode.

Crying over the fact that you were thrown.

The snow came to notify,
that it is finally goodbye, 

I look up to the sky,

Still asking myself why. 

As the years go by, 

I wish you knew that it was a lie.

You're the one I love.

My forever ally.
