Three Time's A Charm
As you can tell from the title, hello to the third post of the year since the start of my new year resolutions to post something once a month. For those who may not know, the phrase 'three time's a charm' simply means when something is attempted for the third time, luck is sure to result. Well, let's hope this too will work its magic - you'll never know if you never try.
Speaking of which I'm sure you noticed, there's a big change in the layout (after so long) as well as the link. Just felt the need for a change to happen because the girl from Neverland (what I call myself) needs to grow up now. One thing I kept is the background of the ocean - of which I'll never get sick looking at it and I love how it looks in this new layout.
One thing for sure, I'm not done making changes to this place yet. Let's wait and see, shall we?
I've got nothing special planned for this post to be honest and I'm just typing whatever that comes through my mind. Simply because I always find it difficult to post things that I've written as they are, even when I actually find them fairly good and worthy. The constant fear of comparison always gets the better of me when I think of all the other people who are way better at writing than I am.
That's why I've always kept such writings in a little notebook that I carry around wherever I go - just so that I can jot things down if a sudden sentence or inspiration comes to mind. In the attempt to overcome that fear, here goes the fourth - the first of its unfiltered kind to leave the notebook.
For those who can relate, here's to your first love - or maybe the puppy love.

It's been a while since I last had the time to blog using a laptop and funny how I always end up writing until 2am in the morning. I think I like this style of being suspicious and vague, which is exactly the fun of writing it.
Note to self: Slowly, but surely - I'll get there someday. Just keep swimming.
Love, Sara

#4 My Favorite Number
If someone ever asked me this question,
Without a doubt in my mind, it will always be 17.
Why, you ask?
Other than the fact that I prefer odd numbers over even
It was because at the age of seventeen,
I realized that it was possible to have everything
and to lose them in a glimpse.
I was seventeen when I first met you.
Nothing ever felt the same since the day you came.
As if you knew that my heart was set on you.
It felt like my world has changed forever,
or maybe it's because I had to change to accommodate you.
It is only after that I've known,
that the questions that I should ask at the time
should be 'why you' instead of 'why me'
This idea of love,
is it the same one that I knew from the movies?
Is this my version of 'a happily ever after'?
This has to be, right?
We were seventeen when it ended.
Parting ways with our hearts fragmented.
Little did I know that an ending marks a new beginning.
Maybe another whirlwind romance in the making.
Looking back made me realize how naive I was back then
Yet I was glad to have woken up from the 'dream'.
I mean - I was only seventeen!
It was a time to learn lessons through the hard way
but without it, I wouldn't be who I am today.
How much of a person I've changed since the day you went away.
