Searching for Purpose

It started with a song as I was paying attention to the song lyrics and relating to it, that made me feel kinda lost. Made me question myself; What is my purpose in this world? What can I contribute to the world when I have this once in a lifetime chance to live in this world?

You know there's a saying "Are you living or or just existing?" - that phrase always hits home. Ever since the day I saw this phrase, it feels like my brain has decided to keep it safely enclosed in a box at the corner of my mind - and decides to open the box occasionally now and then to scare me a little or maybe to remind myself to LIVE instead of 'just existing'.

Ideally, we would all prefer to be living rather than to just existing right? Some of us may dream a little bigger when it comes to making our mark in this world, perhaps it involves leaving a legacy behind for the future generation to see. While there are some of us who prefer living a life that we enjoy, treasuring every moment with loved ones, and doing something we love during our stay in this world.

At this moment, I'll admit to feeling that I'm currently on the 'just existing' side because I have no idea what my passions are and my purpose in this life yet. In a sea of people who have found their interests and passion in life, being the odd one out isn't exactly as comforting nor special as I thought it would be. Though I can already imagine how it would feel like reading this post some time in the future when I found my passion then. (I know this feeling because I had a 'what were you thinking?!' moment when I was cleaning up my blog the last time).

For those of you out there who knew what your passions are deep inside your heart, I'm truly happy that you found them and I hope you will make full use of it and continue living.

For those of you who are like me, who is searching for this thing called passion - give yourself time to explore and try new things. Don't rush. Trust your instincts and take that leap of faith. I hope we will all find out the things that is worth sacrificing our sleep for.

Until the day I have something to share about how to find your passions and interests, I wish you all the best in your journey to discover things that fill your heart with love and happiness.

To the future me, I hope you have a good laugh reading this but don't you ever regret the time you've taken to get to where you are. Trust yourself, you'll do great things :)

That's it for this one and I'll leave you muse upon the words of Morgan Harper Nichols.

P.S It's so rare of me to be writing this unplanned post early in the morning - I started at 7am as that was the time I was willing to get out of bed for I just can't sleep any longer. Though I do love the sense of losing time whenever I make time to do a little blogging. For the record, it's only 8.45 am when I posted this. Could this be a start of something new?

This sounds like a good series of self reflection. Maybe I should thinking of doing a part 2 or some sort?

Have a good weekend!

Love, Sara
