Deepavali
Happy Deepavali and Awal Muharram to those who celebrates them!
For some, happy holidays! While for me, happy assignment and drama fever :D
Back in Penang, I have this close friend of mine whom I often called him bro just randomly
As time passed, he called me bro as well LOL
Then, I used to go to his house everytime for Deepavali
Sadly not this time.
Still, I managed to fill my stomach with awesome Indian food by Shriram's family.
My coursemates and I are well fed by Shriram's parents
Left Kampar at 12 noon and headed to Ipoh on the Perak Transit bus.
My first time going to other people's place to celebrate Deepavali and also first time on a bus to Ipoh
*achievement unlocked*
Anyways reached Ipoh's bus station called Medan Kint (I think that's the spelling)
Met Shriram's dad.
From there, we got Melissa and squeezed in Shriram's dad car and off to pick Aaron.
Then it got cramped so Melissa and I got out and into Mei Yee's car.
Soon enough with turns here and there, we reached Shriram's house.
Met his lovely mum and two of his other siblings.
Shievram invited his friends along too and so we had a talk session before we headed for the main course.
I've always loveeeeee the tidbits <3 those chocolate cookies <3
Be it Raya or Deepavali, my friends would bring a whole bunch of them to school
Those were good times :)
Same goes for this time, I had a lot of those tidbits.
I love the chocolate one at 3 o'clock ish direction <3
Okay I love them allllllllll XD
Had fun chatting with the parents and talked about Shriram and Shievram's childhood
Looking at those baby pictures
Trying to identify who is who cos they are twins XD (did I mention? Oops)
As usual we had photo taking sessions
It can't be helped we are so vain :p hahaha
And after that it was finally time to eat the awesome dishes prepared by the parents
As always, parents cooking are the best.
Even tho technically they are Shrirama and Shievram's parents XD haha doesn't matter
We had tomato rice, mutton curry, curry chicken, some fried chicken and vegetables.
Even tho there were only 6 of us who paid visit the other day,
We were pretty loud as usual lol
It can't be helped that everyone else headed back home already.
Oh well, next time then ;)
Earlier I mentioned that all of us are well fed by Shriram's parents, I really mean it.
I had two rounds of tomato rice <3 (it can't be helped cos I loveeee tomato rice)
Ok well everyone had two rounds of rice and more than two servings of mutton curry especially.
We had our food on banana leaves which makes the aroma of the rice even nicer :3
*imagines*
Ahhhhh missed those times where you can get good food anytime.
Unlike back here in Kampar, you don't exactly have much choice at the guardhouse.
Sometimes I don't even know what to eat (-.-)
That heavy lunch lasted me until dinner lol so yeah
I am truly happy that I am able to experience good food like it was at home eventho I'm not exactly at home so..
THANK YOU VERY MUCH AUNTY!! WE LOVE YOUR MUTTON CURRY :DD
Truly enjoyed Deepavali this year,
Now I bet my coursemates are waiting for my another coursemate from JB to come back
That's because she promised us that she will bring a whole bunch of tidbits for us
Heehee :3 come back faster ya my second sister :)
Spending time away from home especially during festivals like this,
Makes one miss the company at home even more.
Thankyou for inviting me to your house dear second brother in law :D
I truly enjoyed the comforts being at home just like you people.
Thank you.
Happy Deepavali peeps!
May this festival of light
Bring you warmth and joy to your family
Thankyou for making my experience this time truly worth it.
Also a shoutout to a senior and her brother for lending me his seat on the bus the other day.
Your kindness is much appreciated :)
& another for the uncle at the bicycle shop,
Thankyou for fixing my bike for free :)
It truly made my day.
It's these little things that makes me happy :D
That's probably all for now :D
Au revoir mes amis!
P.S : Do visit from time to time for extra pictures XD hahaha
