You're not alone together we stand, Just stay strong Dato' Lee Chong Wei

Yesterday on the 5th of August 2012, was the final battle in badminton in Olympics 2012 between

Team Malaysia & Team China both represented by Dato' Lee Chong Wei and Lin Dan.

It was indeed a great match well played by both parties.

It was a tough match really, the results were 8 all, then 13 all until the match point.

Today's post is to be dedicated to Dato' himself for putting on a great effort in the finals eventhough he was not fully recovered from his last match.

And so here goes (definitely not once upon a time, cos im afraid you'll fall asleep later)

Well honestly i dont know much about him i admit but yesterday was like the IT thing to watch the match in London.

Sad to say that victory once again goes to Lin Dan followed by Dato' himself and Chen Loong.

To those who watched the game i'm sure you saw his determination in winning the game. Eventhough Malaysian supporters were not there to support him, he knows that he has the whole Malaysia supporting him all the way back from Malaysia (and also PENANG, like yours truly)

Since his last game with Lin Dan four years ago, it can be seen that he has improved a lot in his strategy and also skills. A lot of practice and training is needed to go all the way to this level. Nevertheless he got himself a silver medal, which is actually something to be VERY proud of as Malaysians.

(so people let's stop bragging about the free icecream treat from BR okay?)

Immediately after the game, he tweeted saying that he's sorry he couldn't get the gold medal for his country. I'm sure all the Malaysian tweetaholics were touched when they saw Dato's tweet after the medal giving ceremony. It was a heartache seeing him cry on the podium, not to mention that he wanted to win the game just to hear the Malaysia anthem playing in London.

Quote : I cried because I have failed to have Negaraku played at the Arena - Dato Lee Chong Wei

It was his last game in the Olympics, and he managed to come off with a silver medal. This is definitely something to be proud of being a Malaysian, to be a part of the epic final game and also the loud cheer whether you're at Nasi Kandar stall or even at home.

I myself glad and happy that i was a part of this memorable event. Part of cheering with everyone at home back in Malaysia.

Its okay Dato'. You did your very best and everyone in the world witness that moment.
You may not be that winner in this Olympics but you are a winner deep inside every Malaysian's hearts. Nobody could ever replace you. We love you :D

ESPN commentator had this to say of him:
"Lee Chong Wei is such a great guy, but Lin Dan is a bit arrogant. Skills win you medals, but attitude wins hearts."

Lastly, to end this post

#ThankYouLeeChongWei

With Love
